A Note from Jana

Even though 2020 was a challenging year for so many reasons, our Foundation was able to have a successful year because of the ongoing support of Plant City’s families and businesses. Instead of cancelling our campaigns and events, they were reimagined and rescheduled. All of our annual traditional events were pushed into the last quarter of the year. September through December hosted three events and three campaigns. I’m not sure how we did it, but like the old saying “If there’s a will, there’s a way.” Our team can’t take all the credit. We were supported by hospital administration, our board of directors and three large planning committees. Together we created excitement around raising money to support our Health Care Heroes. We created experiences that were fun but safe!
Our plans again are to support SFBH by hosting campaigns and events throughout the year. By the time you read this, the annual Children’s Classic Golf tournament at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club in Dade City will be happening. We also will have had our Heroes’ Day Campaign. This was an opportunity for our community to support our hospital frontline health care workers! But there is more to look forward to. Stay tuned for updates regarding the 25th annual Diamonds & Denim Gala.  September will be here before you know it. We again will make it fun but safe.

We are all excited about the new replacement hospital opening in 2024. Many of our donors have questions about currently named pavers, rooms and departments.  Those are details to be discussed and determined once the plans are approved. Information will be shared with our donors as we progress through the process.
