SFBH Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center Receives National Award for Excellence in Wound Healing

South Florida Baptist Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center has received the Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Center of Excellence award by Healogics, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services.

The center achieved patient satisfaction rates higher than 92 percent and a healing rate of at least 91 percent in less than 30 median days to heal, for a minimum of two consecutive years. Out of 413 eligible Centers, 342 were honored with this award. The award is named for Dr. Robert A. Warriner III, a pioneer in wound care and the former Chief Medical Officer for Healogics.

“This Award would not be possible if we didn’t have the dedication and caring nature of our panel physicians Sayyed Hussain, M.D., Anthony Rossi, D.O., Lawrence Sowka, M.D., and Ronald Barbour, M.D.,” said Beatriz Sandow, program director. “Our nurses, front desk staff and hyperbaric tech strive to provide the very best care for our patients. A big thank you to Heather, Lilia, Jennifer, Rebeka, Shannon, Julie and Kate who put their patients’ needs first.”

The SFBH Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center is a member of the Healogics network of nearly 700 Wound Care Centers®.
