When you make a donation to the SFBH Foundation in memory or in honor of someone, the person you designate receives a notification card that states in whose memory or honor the donation has been made.

The card also lists your name and address as the donor. Your tribute gift will be recorded in your giving record. The amount of the donation is never disclosed. You receive an email confirmation and a mailed receipt for your tax-deductible gift record.  Gifts in memory of someone special are a lasting tribute and a wonderful way to bring comfort to family and friends.

Is there a special physician, surgeon, nurse or healthcare worker in your life? Someone whose advice, support and guidance during a health challenge has been valuable? 

Doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals play an important role in our lives and in those we love. They are the medical heroes we turn to for ongoing support through any health challenge: The surgery that saved a loved one. The knee replacement that lets you walk without pain. The cancer that is finally in remission. The birth of a child or grandchild.

March 30 is National Doctor's Day and we will be honoring all of our doctors during that week. We will also be honoring our nurses during National Nurses week and all of our medical professionals during National Hospital week in May. You can participate by recognizing these individuals by making a donation in their name to the South Florida Baptist Hospital Foundation. 

The gifts honoring our medical team benefit South Florida Baptist Hospital, your community hospital that has been serving Plant City for 70 years. Foundation funds are used to enhance life-saving medical treatments we provide as well as update important equipment needs.

As the end of 2025 approaches, it gives us time to reflect on the year and the many blessings we are thankful for every day. For us, it was celebrating our one-year anniversary at our new hospital and the generosity of our donors!

South Florida Baptist Hospital continues to provide exceptional care for our patients as clinical excellence is our priority. The Foundation provides valuable resources to support the needs of the hospital and patients. This year, $1.5M was allocated to the hospital to purchase patient care equipment and complete construction projects. Funds also supported community outreach, scholarships for local college bound seniors, SFBH team members pursuing nursing degrees and those attending professional conferences.   

In our new hospital, the Foundation has taken great strides to represent all of our donors through beautiful new recognition signage. Digital and traditional types of recognition are used to express our gratitude. The Rowena Mays-M.E. Moody Keystone Circle donor society recognizes donors who donate $1,000 or more annually. Benefits of membership include name recognition on our new digital screens in the main hospital lobby. Supporting SFBH Foundation is an investment in health care in Plant City.
